Smart401k Releases Continuing Education Webinar, August 2010
Smart401k released a new continuing education webinar in August aimed at 401(k) and defined contribution plan advisers. The course provides an overview of participant investment advice options with consideration for pending legislation and how it may affect current arrangements, as well as an explanation of fiduciary oversight requirements for plan sponsors under each model. Western Benefits Conference

Scott Holsopple Named Smart401k CEO, May 13, 2010

Scott Revare of Smart401k announced Scott Holsopple will assume the position of chief executive officer immediately. Revare co-founded Smart401k, along with Adam Bold of the nationally syndicated radio show “The Mutual Fund Show,” in 2003. Revare is moving from the position of CEO to chairman.
“We started this company to fill a need in the marketplace. Many retirement plan investors did not become investors by choice, but by accident. There was a need to provide professional investment advice at a reasonable cost to these individuals. We still share this goal,” Revare stated. Read more.
